Joel Beck is a lawyer and the founder of The Beck Law Firm, LLC. Joel represents broker-dealers, registered representatives and investment advisers in regulatory investigations and proceedings, industry and customer arbitrations, and other legal matters. Joel also represents investors in claims of broker misconduct.
Prior to opening The Beck Law Firm, Joel worked at NASD for 10 years, including six years as an attorney in the Enforcement Department. There, Joel litigated cases involving penny stock fraud, misrepresentations and omissions of material facts, unsuitable recommendations, unauthorized trading, forgery, and other violations. Joel earned his BBA at Georgia Southern University and his JD at John Marshall Law School, Atlanta, where he graduated with honors and was a recipient of the West Publishing Company Award for Academic Excellence. Joel is also a Certified Regulatory and Compliance Professional, a designation awarded by the NASD Institute and the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the American Bar Association, and the Compliance and Legal Division of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association.
